So when we think about Naruto we often think about the strongest Ninja’s. So I have written a list of who I believe are the Top 10 Strongest Shinobi In History. This was a very difficult list to create with so many powerful and strong characters being a big part of Naruto but I did my best.
I also chose not to include characters such as the Sage of Six Paths or Kaguya because that would take up half this list and that wouldn’t be fun. We are aware of their legacies and know that those characters would be at the top but I decided to showcase more people.
Anyway enough rambling.
Jiraiya
One of the most beloved characters is also one of the strongest. Coincidence? I think not. Jiraya was known as the Toad Sage due to his use of Sage Mode and his affiliation with the toads. Jiraya was an extremely powerful individual who was offered the position of Hokage not once, but twice. If that doesn’t indicate his strength then the fact he could take on the Six Paths of Pain, deduce the secret of how they work, defeat half of them, have pain admit he would have been defeated if Jiraya had previous knowledge of his technique and have one of the saddest and most epic deaths in anime, then I don’t know what would.
Obito Uchiha
Obito was truly a fearsome Ninja. Trained by Minato then Madara, he became a hugely powerful character. With his Mangekyo Sharingan and Kamui he was almost invincible and he only got stronger as the Ten Tails Jinjuriki with Rinnegan. Obito could pose as Madara Uchiha for many years, proving that people could believe it was truly the legendary Uchiha. Eventually Obito did become a legend in his own right
Kakashi Hatake
The Copy Cat Ninja. Kakashi of the Sharingan. The Sixth Hokage. Need I say anymore? Kakashi was basically a master at everything. Badass summoning Jutsu? Check. Master of Taijutsu? Check. Master of Genjutsu? Maybe not master but still highly skilled. Master of Ninjutsu? Well he copied over a thousand and invented his own so I’m gonna say double check. Kakashi was also a genius in and out of battle, had amazing sensory abilities, Sharingan, impeccable speed and agility as well as a loving heart.
Itachi Uchiha
Itachi was insanely powerful and would have been even more so if he hadn’t been afflicted by a strange disease. Itachi was a master of Genjutsu, Ninjutsu and Taijutsu and was famous for his Mangekyo Sharingan. Itachi was also a genius and all round Ninja expert. His Susanoo was basically a hack with the Totska Blade and Yata Mirror combo and his Amateratsu and Tsukuyomi were also basically hacks. Everybody loves Itachi for a reason and his strength is a reason to many beside his story and ideals.
Nagato
Even though the Rinnegan he possessed weren’t his own Nagato was a master at using them. With his eyes granting him immense power Nagato managed to master basically every Jutsu he tried and created the infamous Six Paths of Pain. With this technique Nagato, or Pain, was almost invincible and had never been defeated before meeting Naruto.
Sakumo Hatake
Yes the Legendary White Fang himself. Not much is known about Sakumo other than the fact he was stronger than the Legendary Sannin combined. That’s pretty incredible. And with that reputation alone, he deserves his place on this list.
Hiruzen Sarutobi
Hiruzen is a rather special character when you think about it. Sarutobi had nothing special, he was just himself. Hiruzen was supposedly the strongest Hokage the Leaf Village had ever had and was stronger than any other Kage during his reign.
Hahirama Senju
The First Hokage and the original and best user of Wood Release makes his appearance on this list at number 3. Hashirama was able to use all five Nature Rleases and Wood Release with his HUGE Chakra reserves. Hashirama was skilled in all forms of warfare and could battle the Nine Tails and Madara at the same time for 24 hours and win. Hashirama is one of the most impressive people to watch fight and easily earns his spot on this list.
Madara Uchiha
The feared legendary Uchiha himself. Madara was able to use his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and Rinnegan to lay waste to he Shinobi World when brought back to life. His Susanoo is incredibly powerful and his prowess with Dojutsu is arguably unmatched. Madara could defeat hundreds, if not thousands, with Taijutsu alone with minimal effort and devastated he battlefield by pulling in meteorites from space, from freaking space. Just like Hashirama he was an expert in all forms of warfare, especially Ninjutsu. There is a reason why he is called a Legend.
Naruto/Sasuke
Maybe it’s unfair to put them both in the number 1 spot but I felt in necessary. Personally I think Naruto is stronger but even so they deserve to share top spot. What can we say about these two? These two could take on the world if they had to. Individually, Naruto and Sasuke are unbelievably powerful. I don’t want to spoil anything for anybody who hasn’t finished the series yet but if you haven’t you really should. Don’t wait for the anime, we all know they could squeeze another year or two out of the anime so read the manga and find out why these two earn the top spot on this list.
So that is the Top Ten Strongest Shinobi in History, or at least my Top Ten. A lot of characters didn’t get to make this list so let me know in the comments who you think should have made it and if you want more lists like this one then leave a request in the request button below.
